1. Who we are

Wilshaw Glazing (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. We are based at 15 Blair Avenue, Flat 7, Poole, Dorset, BH14 0DA.

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it. This includes:

Contact form submissions — your name, phone number, email address, and message when you use any enquiry form on this site.
Analytics data — anonymised information about how you use this website (pages visited, time on site, device type) if you consent to analytics cookies.
Advertising measurement data — if you arrive from a Google advertisement, Google Ads records that your visit came from that ad and whether it led to an enquiry or a phone call. This includes a click identifier supplied by Google, and a temporary Google phone number shown in place of ours so calls from an advert can be counted. This runs on every visit from a Google advertisement and is not controlled by the cookie banner. See section 6 for how to opt out.

We do not collect any special category data (such as health, financial, or identity information) through this website.

3. How we use your data

To respond to your enquiry — contact form submissions are used solely to follow up with you. We will not add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent.
To improve our website — anonymised analytics data helps us understand which pages are useful and where we can improve. This only applies if you have accepted analytics cookies.
To measure our advertising — where a visit comes from a Google advertisement, we record whether it led to an enquiry or a call, so we know which adverts are worth running. We see totals, not individuals.

The legal basis for processing contact form data is legitimate interest (responding to a business enquiry you initiated). Analytics processing is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing your browser cookies. Advertising measurement is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest — understanding which adverts produce genuine enquiries so we are not paying for advertising that does not work. It measures the performance of our own adverts only. We do not use it to build a profile of you, to show you adverts elsewhere, or to sell your data. You can object to it at any time using the controls in section 6.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions on our behalf. Form data is transmitted securely to Web3Forms and forwarded to our email. See Web3Forms Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics (if you have accepted analytics cookies) — provides anonymised traffic data. IP addresses are anonymised. See Google Privacy Policy.
Google Ads (on every visit that arrives from a Google advertisement) — measures whether an advert led to an enquiry or a phone call. It also substitutes a temporary Google phone number for ours on those visits, which forwards straight through to us. Unlike Google Analytics this is not controlled by the cookie banner. Vercel — hosts this website. Vercel may log standard server access data (IP address, request timestamps) as part of normal hosting operations. See Vercel Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

This website uses the following cookies:

You can withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time by clearing your browser's local storage and cookies, or by using your browser's privacy settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Advertising measurement works differently. Because it runs on legitimate interest rather than consent, choosing "Necessary only" does not switch it off. To stop it, use Google My Ad Center or your browser's cookie controls, or contact us using the details in section 6 and we will action your objection.

6. How long we keep your data

Contact form enquiries are retained in our email system for up to 2 years, after which they are deleted. We do not store form submissions in any other database.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct any inaccurate data
Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
Restrict how we process your data
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Withdraw consent for analytics at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us on Josh.Critchley@wilshawgroup.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We recommend checking this page periodically.
