The detail that carries it

Why this reads as slim, and most aluminium doesn't

The 25mm central-node sightline is the number that does the work here. Origin's own OS29+, the UK's best-known premium aluminium system, publishes a 29mm sightline as its flagship figure. Core Vision Evolution is slimmer than that benchmark, and as far as we've found nobody fitting locally publishes a sightline figure to compare against at all.

What's actually being tested, and what the numbers mean

Figures, not adjectives.

U-value

As low as 0.88 W/m²K, against Part L's 1.4 W/m²K ceiling for a door with more than 60% glazed area. The figure depends on typology, dimensions and glass, so it's best-case, not a guarantee.

Weather-tested

Tested to Class 4 air, E900 water and C5 wind resistance, the EU-harmonised standards Cortizo tests to. We don't make a security-certification claim for this system.

Acoustic

Up to 43dB, the maximum achievable figure, not a fixed spec.

Glazing

28mm to 44mm glazing capacity, triple-glazing capable, with 45mm of polyamide in the frame and 38mm in the sash.

Materials

Manufactured in 6063 T-5 extrusion aluminium alloy.

Size

Sashes up to 3,500 × 3,500mm and 500kg are shown in Cortizo's own documentation, described as "consult maximum dimensions and weight according to typologies." We treat that as an engineering ceiling, not a standing capability, and confirm your exact opening at survey.

Will it suit your opening?

Single, double, triple or four-track sliding, in combinations of up to 8 sashes. Corner and bay junctions can run at 90° without a mullion, and a pocket "Galandage" option hides the sash fully in the wall, though that needs a cavity roughly twice the door's width plus a framing allowance, a bigger structural decision than a standard slider, so it's worth raising early if you're interested.

Is aluminium actually worth it?

The honest disadvantages: aluminium typically costs more upfront than uPVC, and it only performs thermally if it's properly specified with a thermal break. That's not glossed over here.

Why it still tends to be worth it over the ownership period: a slimmer sightline than an equivalent uPVC door, and a lifespan that's often quoted well beyond uPVC's, though both figures depend heavily on the system and finish. We don't publish a fixed price, because the size and configuration of your opening and your chosen finish both move the number. There's no published market range for aluminium doors specifically that we're confident enough in to quote here, so the honest next step is a survey and a written quote.
